I’ve done some research into this school, and it seems like it would be a perfect fit for me. The only problem is that they have pretty sever grade deflation. I am willing to work hard and I realize that being pre-med is a lot of work at any school, but having a lower gpa might ruin my chances at med school. If anyone is a pre-med at Franklin and Marshall, or knows anything about the grading please let me know what you think.
Grading at F&M is hard, but not as infamously so as some other schools. That said, as is the case for these schools and F&M, if you push yourself, you can get A’s. I know quite a few people at F&M, and all of them have been able to get GPAs above 3.5.
I recommend that you reach out to admissions to help you connect to current students. Or post on F&M subforum.
Ok, thank you

@international95 What were their majors? Were they premed? Were they int’ls like you?
What were their BCMP GPAs?
a 3.5 for a traditional applicant is borderline low these days for med schools.
Well, they were math, computer science, economics, biology and anthropology majors. Yes, they were internationals, and they weren’t looking to go to med school. Well, I said above 3.5. The math majors were 3.9 GPAs, for instance. And besides, I think that if you can’t get a competitive GPA at F&M undegrad, can you really do well in med school?
