What’s it like to be pre-med at Northwestern? How does one gain clinical experience if the med school/hospital is downtown?
You can go downtown to intern or be a research assistant there (it only takes like 45 mins transportation time). You can also volunteer at one of the clinics closer to NU. Don’t know if that would be exactly what you’re looking for though.
There is no need to go to Chicago for pre-med study/research.
Son knows kids that were pre-med at NU, now at Med School. You can do research while on the Evanston Campus, and also tie in your study abroad with pre-med fields of interest.
@nugraddad where does one gain his/her clinical experience?
IvyLeagueAlien - Sorry - don’t know - kids at school, so can’t ask - but isn’t clinical experience part of med school - not pre-med?
