I got accepted to Rutgers-NB and intend on doing pre-med there, and I applied to UPitt today. How are the pre-med programs at these schools? Is one better than the other?

Both will prepare you pretty well so go for the one you like better. Pitt is known for its sciences, though.

I am a former Pitt student and I was in their nursing school. Along with their pre-med program, their nursing school is top 10 in the country. I found that the Pitt students (outside of medicine-related majors) were not serious about their schoolwork at all and only wanted to go to parties. As a nursing major, my social life was obviously very different than everyone else’s because of the huge workload. I transferred to NYU where the students are more serious about academics. Pitt was just too much of a party school.

Are you instate for one?

Not necessary to pay OOS costs for one or the other. Did either give you a scholarship?
