Pre-Med at UCSB but NOT a Bio Major

Hi guys,
Is anyone on here doing pre-med but NOT majoring in anything like Chemistry, physics, biology, or anything in the Biological Science section? If so, is it hard to get chem, biology, or physics classes if you're not a Bio science major? I'm majoring in Sociology and doing pre-med and I was worrying about not gettting my pre-med courses. Thanks.

most premeds are like this

Aceepted into Computer Engineering. Want to know how hard is it to do premed with this major. Do I get similar opportunities as that of bio or chem majors? I prefer to be in comp. engg and pursue premed. Please respond is this a good option or not?

^I heard Bio majors get priority…but I’ve noticed that there are a generous amount of open classes left.

why comp eng and premed at the same time? a weird mix imo…a lot of computational bio stuff is in CS (e.g. you can take CS 111, 140, and 167 and a bio minor to get a solid footing in that stuff), but there’s no concentration in that kind of stuff for EE or CE majors

also if it’s just that you want high paying backup to your high paying goal of being a doctor, it doesnt quite work like that. you and possibly your GPA will be suffering tremendously because you will have to take every single hard LD class offered by UCSB (no joke: math 3abc and 5abc, ece 2abc and 15a, phys 1 2 3 4, cmpsc 8 16 32 40, eemb 2, chem 1abc, mcdb 1ab… :'O)

^I have to agree. It’ll be tough but hey, as long as you know what you’re doing.
