Pre-Med Athlete

Hello,
I am a high school junior and I am searching for the perfect college for me. I plan to study premed and swim in college, I would also prefer a college that is warmer in the south. My weighted gpa is 4.44 and my ACT score is 27 (I am going to retake this to make it higher). Do you have any suggestions?

With a higher ACT, Emory.

Tulane if you can hit 30+, and Emory if you can hit 32+.

The admitted-students middle ACT score range for Emory is 30-34. The range for attending students would be lower. As a student who plans to swim in college, you would potentially be accepted with a score even below 30. For your own assurance, get it as high as you can of course. Davidson and William & Mary are other schools you can research.

What will your major be?

Are you a recruited athlete? Which schools are recruiting you?

Are you looking for an athletic scholarship?

My son is in med school and his two housemates are both former Div I football players (one from Oregon, one from Auburn). Both of them completed their premed prereqs after they graduated because they were too busy with their sport to trust getting the needed grades.

-Baylor University (Not too warm, but not too cold, either)
-Clemson University
-University of Alabama - Birmingham (No swimming, but if you get your ACT up to a 30, you’ll automatically get $15,000 a year)
