How difficult is it to major in something like Finance or Healthcare Management in the business school while taking the required classes for pre-med?

Certainly doable. I don’t believe Bschools offer specific majors…you just get a BSBA (bachelors of science in business admin). You can easily do the premed requirements, and perhaps even an additional major or minor as well.

marc- the b-school does in fact offer different majors under their bsba degree ([Majors and Minors: BSBA| Olin Business School - BS in Business Administration (BSBA)](<a href=“BSBA | Major & Minor Programs | WashU Olin Business School”>BSBA | Major & Minor Programs | WashU Olin Business School)), but you’re right, supposedly it is easy enough be pre-med as a business major. I know at least 2.

You might want to check out some of the old threads on the pre-med forum. There seems to be a general consensus that majoring in business is generally frowned upon by many med schools.

Shows how much I know about undergrad Olin

I was always under the impression that med schools don’t really care what you major in, as long as you include your pre-med courses (GenChem, Orgo, Bio, etc). I’m interested in the business route because business skills are invaluable in setting up/maintaining one’s own practice. I’m not trying to take the “easy way out” if that’s what you’re intimating.
