At my school (Emory), we need to take (Intro) Chem 141 (Spring)/Chem 142 (Fall) and then (Orgo) Chem 221L (Spring) 222L (Fall). As a Biology major coming in with an AP Bio credit, I was thinking of redoing (Intro) Bio 141/142 for my 1st year.

Basically, will taking Intro Chem and Intro Bio, along with English Seminar and a Music major requirement be too much for frosh year?

As a bio major, taking chem and bio together is quite the norm. Especially with intro science classes, it should definitely be manageable. The other two classes don't seem bad at all.

most premeds double up on the sciences a few times at the very least, much more frequently for science majors obviously. Plus, you wouldn't be doubling up on the sciences until your second semester so you have a semester to adjust to college and whatnot. Keep in mind that even if you decide not to place out of into bio, you will still need to make up additional upper level bio classes (WITH LAB!) to fulfill these requirements, and that may be difficult to do as a non-science major due to prereqs and whatnot.
