Pre Med @ Dartmouth College?

I was wondering if anybody could comment on the pre med program and science majors at Dartmouth. Does it offer good research opportunities as well as a more personal feel with professors than at big, research universities? Also, is Dartmouth particularly known for being cut-throat and/or particularly bad on curving so many students are "weeded" out? Is it uncommon to be a non science major pre med? Thanks!

No weeding at Dartmouth. Lots of pre meds there. Great interaction with profs. Plenty of research and many research grants.

Are the students really collaborative? Also, I take it that it has great placements across the country?

If you have the stats for Dartmouth, going to your instate public is a probably better bet for premed. Stay home and you will be an academic star on campus. Professors will be calling YOU to work on their research.

Med school is (almost) all about gpa+mcat.
