Okay, so I should've said "pre-vet" but I had to put it under this so it would be legal under the "premed" forum.
Anyway, I know this probably has been asked a THOUSAND times, but how much does prestige of the university factor into med/vet school admissions?
I got into UF and Cornell, for instance.
I heard Cornell is REALLY hard academically, so if I might get a lower GPA there, should I just go for UF?

Prestige doesn't play a big part in it---You'll still be taking the same kind of classes both places and still need to get the same kind of job/volunteer experience. Go undergrad wherever you want

Also for vet schools, what matters somewhat is your state of residence at your time of application, due to the fact that there are only about 30 vet schools in the US, and they each only have a certain number of spots open to non residents/residents of contact states. They give the most spots to residents of the state they are located in. Just something to keep in mind if you have an idea of where you want to go for vet school

go to Cornell the yhave an amazing animal science program and even if you don't get into vet school you can get a BS/MS there and make serious cash at prestigious job. Cornell all the way!
