Hello!

I have held a lifelong ambition of becoming a physician. More importantly, I wish to practice in the United States, where the majority of academic and economic opportunities lie.

I have been accepted to McGill University in Montreal, QC, Canada, where I would have the opportunity to study undergraduate biochemistry offered through the faculty of science in conjunction with the medical school, one which has been ranked by Maclean's as the best medical doctorate program in Canada. My other option is to do pre-med at University of Arizona, which being a top 40 public research institution isn't exactly a typical state school, but isn't quite ivy caliber either.

Will I have trouble attending a prestigious medical school in the United States if I complete a degree in Canada? How does UArizona compare to McGill in terms of pre-med?

Thanks
-SM
