Do you think it's possible for pre-med students at Duke to also play club soccer? I was told that the practice is 4 hrs/week. I don't know the games day yet.

I'm just wandering whether I have enough time to still do well with my classes and participating the necessary ECs.

Well you're coming in as a freshman, and although your coursework might seem daunting it is normally very manageable your first couple of semesters (even premed work). As long as you don't get too lazy you should be able to manage a club sport with whatever coursework you take right away. Worth a shot; you could always adjust during the semester.

Club sports are played between colleges and are usually composed of students who played varsity sports or had decent level competition in high school.

club is really laid back and is just really all about continuing to play the sport(s) you enjoyed in high school or even before. it does vary from team to team the level of competitiveness, and i would say that soccer and lacrosse are two of the most.

premed isn't THAT hard. it's just that many premeds are super-gunners and devote every waking minute to your typical research/volunteering (if anything, seeing club sport instead of [generic premed activity] could be better)
