Is it possible to be a bio major without taking any afternoon labs in chem/bio/physics? Or are some required classes/labs offered only in the afternoons?

Labs are the suckiest part of being a science major. They’re long and inconveniently timed and a hassle to fit into your class schedule. Welcome to science! This goes for any school, not just Northeastern.

Labs are offered at a variety of times, so it’s possible to avoid afternoon labs, but it’s unlikely-- you will schedule labs that fit in best with your classes. But labs are only once a week, so it’s not like you’ll be there EVERY afternoon. I played a sport at NU so I avoided any late labs, but never having an afternoon lab? Probably not going to happen.

As a freshman, you’ll be pre-placed into your classes and labs (and can discuss this with your advisor during orientation). After that, you’ll be able to choose your schedule and which times you want for labs.
