Did anyone take any pre-med courses in the summer term ie Organic Chemistry or Biochem? How were they like in the summer.

Ask some upperclassmen premed students in person for a solid answer.

I’m not at that stage yet but I’ve asked around and the majority have said that taking Orgo or Biochem during the summer isn’t a good choice. These courses are difficult usually and cover a lot of material and cramming that into a summer term is not good. The pace will be very fast, you will have class almost every day, and ultimately this leads to memorization and regurgitation of the information. This could indeed get you past the classes but the materials covered will come up again on the MCAT so it is better to get a strong base through the courses. Hope this helped a little.

It did! Thank you!!!
