Hello! I was just wondering which school for undergraduate pre-med studies--UCLA or UC Berkeley were harder. I know you're thinking "Berkeley... duh" but I don't want the answer based on a whole... Just in pre-med area.

I barley go on here, so if this question sounds stupid, you can ignore this.. I just need advice since I have to make up my mind May 1st!

p.s.: i know pre-med is hard in every school, but I'm sure the cut-throat/competitiveness is slighly different.
oh yeah and i'll be happy at both schools, so its not an issue.

YES! ANOTHER FREAKING PRE-MED. sorry. just had to say it before some random person says that.

I would think that most of the students at the undergrad level have either been to berkeley or la and not both. I don't see how you would get a non-biased answer.

I would say they're roughly equal. UCLA has the more renowned med program (since Cal's is only through UCSF...well, "only") lol, but Cal has all the hard-core bio majors, many of which are basically pre-med.

Basically either way you won't have a life for 4 years, so you might want to eventually look at "the whole picture."
