<p>OK, so what's the deal with pre-orientation programs? Who recommends attending and which programs are good? LAUNCH? Medicine? If you don't attend, do you find yourself starting school with no friends, because so many people made friends at the pre-orientation program?</p>
<p>I'm not starting school up there till next year... the professor I talked to certainly recommended the programs, you're a week ahead making friends, you can move in ahead of your roommate, and (i think) that pre-orientation students can schedule their classes a little earlier... if someone could verify that last point i'd appreciate it, i'm not quite sure on it.</p>
<p>It probably depends on what program you're going into... are you in Arts and Sciences? If so, there are probably a lot of good options... I got accepted into the school of engineering as a physics major (which is weird, as they don't offer that major there...), so I don't really have so many pre-orientation options, apparently.</p>
