I am a high school senior interested in a career as a physical therapist. I have a 4.0 GPA and a 34 ACT. I have taken all honors and AP classes.
I really like Miami University in Oxford Ohio, but i can't find any info on the quality of their pre physical therapy program or medical programs in general.
Can anyone help me with this? How good is their pre-physical therapy program? What graduate schools have recent grads of the program gotten into?
And if the program isn't very good, does anyone know of any undergraduate pre-physical therapy programs at other colleges that would give me a better chance of getting into the top graduate schools?
I'm not interested in any of the direct entry programs as of right now (like SLU or Marquette).
Thanks!

D’s big sister in her sorority is at Simmons College in Boston. D doesn’t remember what the girl’s major was at Miami, but thinks it may have been exercise science, as that is what others often do. She said so only remembers her big was happy with the program.

Other friends from Miami are going to med school at Toledo, University of Maryland, UC, OSU, CWR.

Thank you!!

In reagrd to “medical programs in general”, most (but not all) pre-meds are Zoology major as Zoology department is highly ranked. I do not know anything about PT. D. was pre-med and had many pre-med friends, all are in Med. School currently, they had awesome choices, including top 20 Med. Schools. D. had hard time choosing her Med. School but is very happy wiht her choice. She has 3 others from Miami in her Med. School class. Miami also has great Med. Research lab opportunities which are not that hard to get into. Miami was an awesome place for my D’s UG, she still misses it a lot. She just mentioned yesterday she she always felt “at home” there.
