<p>Those who read Academic Hacker's guide to the essay know it's smart to have a list of pre-thought, unique topics that can be applied to a wide area of topics. I thought it might be a good idea for those who scored well on the essay in the past to maybe share a list of good examples... still share if you're planning to take it in the future! It would help a ton of us out.</p>

MLK and Ghandi and nonviolent protest
Hitler/ Napoleon
Civil Rights Era and court cases
The French Rev
The American Rev and founding fathers
The Cold War and conflicting philosophies </p>
<p>Current:
OWS
Social Media and the info glut
Random events like the pres election</p>
<p>My format is usually:
- Intro
- History/lit
- Personal experience(usually made up)
- Conclusion </p>
<p>Tip: make sure to lend credence to the other side and then explain why that position is wrong </p>
<p>I scored 11 on the sat in dec and 12 on the act in April</p>
