Will the specific major impact how a vet graduate school views the admissions probability? A lot of the schools I plan on applying to do not have a pre-vet major, but the biology majors are pretty strong. Would it be better to go to a school with a strong biology major or a school with a pre-vet major if I plan on becoming a vet?
Thank you!
I would take a biology major, since you’ll get your BS as a backup.
I think biology, but you may also want to consider zoology or microbiology.
Look at the prereqrequisites of your in state vet school. Most require similar requirements as those of a biology major plus an animal nutrition class, biochemistry and proficiency in writing.
