I was accepted to Pennstate University Park in December. I am in-state in PA. I am waiting on UDel (I applied to the honors program there).

I am looking to major in pre-veterinary medicine in the school of agriculture (at both universities.)

As far as social scene goes, I dont know how I feel about the huge campus feel, but I think Pennstate has a better academic reputation than Udel?
Is it different because I'm hoping to go Honors at UDel and did not apply to honors at Pennstate?

Cost is a factor, but not really a huge issue for me and my family right now.

you are a PA student, go to PSU. If you are worried about the the social scene at a PSU dont because there is something for everyone. If you are a huge partier then you will fit in but if you dont party at all you also will find people a lot like you they have groups and clubs and have substance free droms. I would have applied to Honnors at PSU but it to late but idk you may still be able to apply onec you go there.
If cost is at all a factor no matter how small you still have to keep in mind that your not done after your undergrad and when you go for your graduates degree (Vet school) you are possibly looking at going to a more expensive school for example Cornell and UPenn have amazing vetenary schools!
Nothing is wrong with UDel at all and if you want to go to a school smaller than PSU then go there. I have visited both campuses and I fail to see how one could be unhappy at either.
I live in PA btw.

Go to Penn State. Although you say that cost isn’t much of a factor, you need to consider the cost of vet school. Will your parents pay (or help pay) for vet school if you “save” them money by not going out of state? Ask them.
