<p>A couple of questions about UMich's preferred admissions program...</p>

<p>1) Is this a binding agreement, or can you choose not to attend the graduate school if you are accepted.</p>

<p>2) I am unclear on what the third year-professional school means. I am guessing this is basically just giving students the opportunity for a guarenteed spot in a graduate school- but is there a difference between graduate and third year professional?</p>

<p>3) IF it is non-binding, then, is there any disadvantage to applying for preferred admission?</p>

<p>Also, if anybody can clarify how the SGUS thing works. Do you apply for that after you are admitted to the engineering school, or is it part of the preferred admission program through the engineering school. I haven't been able to get a clear answer on this from UMich's website.</p>
