Prefrosh weekend

Shalom all,

Checked a few college websites and most (including Harvard) don't seem to list when their prefrosh weekends are. At least, they might, but I can't find it :p Anyone able to help me out here? I would imagine the official name is not "Prefrosh weekend" so that is most likely my problem ;) I've been invited out to Seattle for a weekend in April but I don't want to miss any college prefrosh weekends that I might want to attend (either Harvard's if they accept me, so I can meet the future classmates and whatnot, or those of whatever schools do accept me so I can decide!). Thanks muchly ;)

harvard's last year was around the end of april. it likely will be this year too.

Last year, it was on the last weekend of April, through Sun, May 1st. (I think they had to push back the students' notification date to May 2nd). The year before, I think it was around April 23-25. So, probably, either the last or second-to-last weekend of April.

Not all are on weekends - several are during the week. This year, Harvard's Admitted Students weekend is Saturday, April 22 - Monday, April 24.

Thanks twinmom! Which means I'll really have to reconsider my plans if I'm accepted, because that's the weekend I've been invited out :p Where did you find that, exactly?

That weekend (22-24) was listed in the acceptance letter, along with the fact that we will receive an invitation in early March to attend.

So you haven't gotten in, yet you're wondering when the Prefrosh weekend is?

In the event that I get in, yes. I'd like to go if I'm accepted, so I don't want to be in a situation where I have conflicting plans that weekend. Harvard isn't the only college I'm asking this for, I'm making sure I have a lot of bases covered.

Prefrosh Weekend IS GOING TO BE AWESOME

So what happens at Prefrosh weekend, is that when all the accepted Harvard nerds get to loose theyr virginity (with the help of loads of alcohol)?

w t f .....?

GuitarMan - As Boston USMC said, it was in the acceptance letter ... one of my twins was accepted EA. Good idea for leaving your options open for accepted student days - best of luck to you in the RD round!

Twinmom, thanks!! Good luck to the other twin at their schools, if they haven't gotten any ED/EA yet :)

We'd totally hang out at prefrosh, Guitar.

You know, go hu*n*ting. ;)

Haha! Where have you been lately, anyway, corranged?

Three day weekend?

What do you think? :p

Just some more girl-hurting, eh?

I wish. ;)

No, I just went snowboarding and watched a whole bunch of football.

Have you been doing anything interesting? Done with the conference?

Hehe, hijacking this thread, are we? Well, no matter, my question's been answered :p

Yep, just got back from the conference a few days ago. Boy oh boy, it was fun! ;) Lots and lots of undergrads there, actually, so I even got to be sociable. Yay. It's fun when everyone's a geek like you. Even though outwardly they're very normal people, except for the fact that they, you know, do astronomy :p

And then last night I watched the season premiere of 24. Hot damn!

I figured we could hijack the thread since it's yours. :)

I've never seen 24 because I know I don't have the TV discipline required to actually follow the season.
