So here is my dilemma: I am trying to decide between a high-tier UC (UCLA) and a lower-but-still-good UC (UCSB). My major is Biology and I want to be a pediatric rheumatologist (type of doctor), so a high GPA would prob be useful for getting into med school. UCLA has been my dream school for a long time, and I absolutely love the campus. However, I’m sure that the competition is much more intense at LA compared to SB, making it harder to maintain high grades. UCSB, would make things easier in that sense plus they have offered my admittance to their Campuswide College Honors Program. Some benefits of this program include: early registration, priority housing, graduate-level library priviledges, smaller classes with discussion seminars with profs, etc. Does anybody have any suggestions on what I should do?

BTW, I’m not sure if these are relevant to the issue but here are my “numbers”:
ACT: 34 (1520 convert)
SAT II: 700 math/700 writing/770 spanish/740 biology
UC GPA: 4.2

Thanks in advance!
