Prep Books for...

I want to prepare for some of my classes next year. What would be good books to get for...

AP Biology
AP US History
Pre-Calculus
SAT II - Math II, Chem, Bio

Thanks.

i dunno about any of these except that for math, STAY AWAY from mcgraw hill. it's full of errors.

try amazon.com - there are many books and reviews there.

Math 2 is basically Pre-Cal save your money.

Math 2 -barron's

AP Bio- CliffsNotes
APUSH- Amsco/Rea

AP Bio: Cliffnotes

APUSH: Cracking the AP US History Exam- short, concise and understandable. I got a 720 on the subject test by using it. I don't know my AP Test score yet.

Pre cal- Cliffnotes Trig

Math 2- barrons

Thanks for the quick response guys. :D

Just a couple of question though..

For the AP Bio cliffnotes one, i should get the 2007 edition (not the 2001 edition) right?

and for the APUSH...is this the AMSCO book?
http://www.amazon.com/United-States-History-Preparing-Examination/dp/1567656609

As for Math 2/PreCalc, Barrons seems to be the most popular.

Q1 = yes

Q2 = yes

statement 1 = true

AP Bio -- get Biology by Campbell, it's the most respected book in the field
Precalc -- I suggest College Algebra and Trigonometry by (I think) Kolman, Levitan, Shapiro.

SAT II -- the more practice the better, so try and get as many SAT II prep books as you can for each subject. Buy them used or something :D

there's a 2007 edition of cliffs ap bio? i couldn't find it anywhere so i just bought the 2001 edition...

?
(10 char)

yeah i guess they finally updated it. it was kind of out of date because it still used the kingdoms rather than the domains. and the mc tests were 120 questions instead of 100.

the 2007 one isn't out yet...it comes out on july 23rd i think
u can preorder it at barnes and noble
