what are the best sat prep courses out there...i was looking into test masters...does anyone have some advice?

I would think testmasters as well, although I have never tried it, I did hear many good things.

princeton review offers a great sat class. its alot of work, but i moved from a
M-610
CR-690
W-680
To a
M-700
CR-760
W-780
Def worth the time/money

joethemonkey, nice increase on your scores. Congratulations!

I will be taking a PR course too for the May test. Did you prep on your own as well using the blue book, or did you only rely on the materials from PR?

I think the PR course uses the blue book for homework...it has 26 practice tests so I would guess that includes real ones since they don't have 26 of their own out there. But from what I hear it's supposed to be a great class.

My son just completed Testmasters and thought that it offered a lot of realistic practice tests. The classes themselves are taught by different instructors who cover specific strategies that he found very helpful, especially for the essay and the reading passages.

He just took the SAT today, so we'll see how it goes, but his scores increased dramatically in the practice tests he took.

Testmasters also provides predicted word lists of vocabulary words for each testing date and it turns out that they're pretty accurate. (A lot of the words on the word list they gave out actually showed up on today's test.)

By the way, if you decide to go with Testmasters, here's a $25 off coupon you can use: http://koch.afraid.org/testmasters-coupon.pdf

My course will last 12 weeks, 1 day per week, 3 hrs each. How are they going to give me 26 tests?
