So, I have a huge Calculus final this Wednesday. So far we have covered everything from functions to derivatives to sketching graphs. I NEED to do well on this final because it is 1/3 of our grade and I'd really like to get a B in the class. I have a high B+ on quizzes so far, but kinda low on the tests. I would like to do really well on the final so that I can get at least a B.

If you guys were me, how would you study for this huge test? I've been trying to take a practice test a night, but I don't know if I should be doing more? What do you guys do to study for math tests? Is there any good sites with notes or practice tests?

Well does the teacher give you like a review packet? If so, use that. If not, use the section review problems and if you can't understand a concept google it and you might get a different explanation

Review all your old tests, quizzes and homework assignments. Ask your teachers for how to get the answers to troublesome problems that appeared in past tests. Keep doing the practice tests each night-that's a great thing! Also, for your calculus textbook, see if it has an online study guide. For my physics class, for example, the textbook has an online supplement where they offer extra-practice problems, quizzes, etc. online. Try to see if your calculus textbook has a website that offers online resources. Good luck with your finals!

I guess just review everything including homework. On your quizzes see what you missed and make sure to work on that. make a list of all the concepts that are going to be on the test.

Personally, I would get a student tutor I don't know very well. That way, I would be motivated to study before a session so I wouldn't look like a complete buffoon, which is easy for someone like me. Ok, so maybe not for that reason. But maybe a tutor would help if you can't get the concepts on your own.

yeah. oneday i leave it and the next day it gets 7 pages. it almost beats your wedding thread, i think....haha

but it wasn't about my favourite topic, though. but if i talked about how stupid cheerleader girls are lowering the standards for blondes and stuff, it wouldn't get as many posts on it.

Thanks, for all of your advice:) I've been doing the practice tests every night still but am now more nervous than ever because I got a C on the final test that we took. The final is tomorrow and I feel like I've studied everything but am still very very nervous. I was thinking of looking through another Calculus book I have (Calculus by George Simmons) but am not sure if that would be a good idea because it might just confuse me (our class is using Stewart's early transcendentals book)? The tips have been great so far, any last minute ones to add?
Thanks:)
