Preparing for the SAT as a freshman

As a freshman in highschool, I want to prepare for the SAT. Ill' be starting this summer. As being weak in the CR and verbal sections I really want to improve those. My main goal is to get a 2300 in one seating. What would be the best way possible to prepare? (I'm thinking xiggi's method). I know I have time to study to get my 2300, but any advice? -Thanks

PS: I haven't taken the PSAT, but itll be around a 180 right now but by studying over the summer i hope to get atleast a 210

A 180, or even a 210, will not land you a 2300.

Read newspapers, books and other (higher end) published articles. Brush up on your Writing skills (grammar rules and all). And be able to do well in Math. Math is more… objective, rather than subjective, so know your crap.

I’d also try to take the highest level classes next year.
