I recently just got back from my orientation at the school I will be attending in the fall as a freshman. I am having trouble finding out what exactly it is I should take to really present myself in the best light. Should I overload in courses I excel at (like history) or should I be more well-rounded, and take a science, math, and english.

The schools I am looking at are: UNC-Chapel Hill, Cornell, Brown, and UPenn.

**My schedule as of right now is:
Western Civilization II (1650-present)
Freshman Composition I (English)
Ancient Through Medieval (Art History)
Introduction to Human Geography
Introductory French I (i really want to take this!)

I will need to tinker with my schedule anyways because they all fall on the MWF days. **Should I avoid the Physical Education 101 and Freshman Seminar classes? (probably difficult to transfer and unimpressive, however I'm sure I could get a great rec. out of the fr. sem. teacher)
I was also looking at Western Civilization I (to 1650), Physical Geology (lab & lecture), College Algebra, and World Geography I. Alot of stuff is already full.

I can't tell you how much I would appreciate any feedback, I plan to be involved in several clubs and I really just want to know if I should stick to my obvious comfort zone and almost guarantee a great gpa or take diverse classes. If someone recommends a Biology, Chemistry, or Physics class, by all means I'll look into it, and work hard in it.

Oh and one more thing, there are basic studies requirements which I have been following but should I take any 300 level courses instead? (I'm thinking they may not transfer and the advisor people would probably not let me anyways though..)
