I hate preppy girls. So i avoid dressing like a prep.

Preppy clothing is the best for professional settings and interviews, and the ladies usually like it.

And honestly, if you have the body, you would look good no matter what you wear.
Likewise, if you are fat, all this is pretty much useless.

Sad. But that is just how it is.

The clothes don’t make the person. Just my opinion.

^ Not necessarily.

Oh golfer111, will you marry me?

I dress full on gangsta you feel me. Cause I get the street rep yo, teachers think I’m from da hood and the sympathetic so they like write me good recommendations G.

Putting the G in genius that is what I do, that is what I do.

My current favorite shoe. Unbelievebly comfortable, and I look shoes that slook strange.

Seriously, let’s stop worrying about clothes.
Of course, you have to dress professionally at right times.

But preppy=professional? I don’t think so.

Plus, there is no such thing as the “ideal clothing.”
Clothes represent the people very much so. So, saying a type of clothing is better is like saying one person is better than another.

Plus, long-lasting clothes are not necessarily good.
If our society had no such thing as ‘fashion,’ our economy would be in a terrible position. The fashion industry keeps the money flowing. So, in that sense, preppy clothes (the “long-lasting” clothes) are inferior.

Btw, I love Diesel clothes.
And chicks dig it.

This is all you really need, though.
- Sense of humor
- Good body.
- A plain white shirt
- Nice pair of jeans
- Intelligence.

You will get all the girls.
(i am not saying i possess these qualities)

@Swim18: I’m really the last person to ask about women’s clothing lol. Pretty much just keep it conservative, a nice top, good quality jeans/chinos/capris, and rainbows/Sperrys/flats/heels/whatever looks good. A nice pearl necklace goes a long way also! I mean just overall keep it conservative and classy, that’s all I really can say.

@dhs911230: Not necessarily. The dude’s on Jersey Shore are jacked, but they look like straight dbags and girls with any level of class would run away. Honestly, a built guy in a polo would look 100x better than a built guy in an Ed Hardy tee.

And no, I don’t necessarily think preppy=professional. I think it’s a good way to look though. I feel that it’s the best bet when going to a semi-formal/casual occasion. For example, someone wearing a white shirt, Repp tie, Navy sack blazer with gold buttons, brown belt, khaki chinos, and brown Allen Edmonds or Sperrys will look 100000x better than someone wearing a tight Express button down, black skinny tie, black pants, and those overly-long square-point shoes from Kenneth Cole or something.

In essence, you really can’t go wrong dressing preppy. It’s better to go places slightly overdressed than slightly underdressed, in my eyes at least.

Hmm i guess people have different interests. Haha

Haha yessir. To each his own I guess

I cant convince you to think that a chocolate flavored icecream is better than a vanilla one when vanilla icecream is your favorite.

And i agree in that girls like clean guys.
But you dont have to dress preppy to be clean.
Plus, some guys who wear those sparries(?) with no shoes on have the smelliest feet in the world.

dhs, either you misunderstand what sperrys are, or what you just said makes no sense.
Did you mean to say with no socks on, because Sperrys are shoes?

Sperry’s with no shoes on…?
Sperry’s are shoes…
Lol, I hope you mean socks…

Hahah okay…what about more ‘urban’ / hihop kinda style?! I looove Nike high tops sooo much :)

Yeah I agree, I just think it’s the most “classic” form of clean, but there are definitely other ways to achieve the same goal. As long as it’s subdued and conservative, you’ll be fine (with the exception of the bright colors and critter shorts/pants, I’m so ready to break those out this Spring lol).

It’s kind of weird how you know that without even owning a pair of Sperrys…but yeah as long as you put baby powder in the shoes before wearing (a shake or two is more than enough) you can easily avoid that problem. And they’re comfy as hell and don’t require socks/tying laces, etc. Easy to wear just about anywhere…I’ve gone hiking, played basketball, and gone to the pool in the same pair of Sperrys in the same day haha.

Oops i meant socks.
My bad.

And maybe i dont own them because i know “that.” ;)

Yeah maybe i should get those guys some baby powder.

Sperrys with socks? Lol

^forreal. Seeing someone who wears Sperrys and socks without pants makes me rage
