For $400 and a 240 point guarantee, it seemed like a deal breaker, but after I finished the course and didn’t improve my score by any, I deserve a refund.
They require an OFFICIAL SAT SCORE REPORT of all my SAT 1 scores which is IMPOSSIBLE and they don’t even tell how. If anyone knows how to actually send physical copies to their company, tell me. If it’s impossible (I’ve searched and found no answer), then it’s a scam. DON’T TAKE THIS SAT PREP. RIP OFF
Of course, they need an official score report otherwise you can just change the scores through your browser. It is not impossible you’re just not looking hard enough.
I’ve basically given up on this. I’ve poured out soo many hours for this refund but Prepscholar had nothing else to say except to just collegeboard. It’s honestly really pathetic.
Even though the program may work for some people, it didn’t work for me and the worst part is that I didn’t even get a refund.
For anyone who is reading, don’t try and end up in the same position that i’m in. This has been such a headache for me.
While I never purchased their program, I did find many of their blog posts to be very helpful in preparing for the SAT. And I’m just curious, what was your base score? I could see someone getting someone from 1500 to 1740 easily but if we’re talking 2100 to 2340, not so much.
@IneffableMind
I won’t disagree on you with that. They have great tips and blog posts and maybe their program works for some people but it simply didn’t work for me. I had a base score of 2030. After finishing the program, I had a 2010 :(.
And for anyone reading, their program wasn’t a scam (their course was pretty legit), it was their refund policy that really bugged me. I’m somewhat alright with my current score (superscore of 2100) but it’s just a bummer losing $500 without having any results whatsoever.
Did you actually call collegeboard? They can send the score report to anybody but you can’t order the score report online if they’re not set up with collegeboard. You have to order by phone.
