<p>He answered the Quaker question from below. 3% of the incoming first-year class is Quaker (11 students if my math is right). </p>

<p>Chinese is now the most popular language studied at Swarthmore.</p>
<p>95% of Swarthmore graduates have taken more than 2 courses focused on peoples and cultures of the world. Bloom made a point of emphasizing how every department has been "internationalized" -- something that really struck me about the courses my daughter took at Swarthmore.</p>
<p>Financial aid students study abroad at higher rates than non financial aid students.</p>
