I heard that if you're selected as a finalist for the presidential scholarship, that you automatically will get half tuition. I didn't know that!!! IS that even if the tuition goes up during the course of the 4 years? Thanks!

Where’d you hear that? Last year finalists who did not get the presidential got another 2k or so added to their package.

Does that always happen? So those kids are getting 18k a year? That would actually be more than 1/2.

When did you discover the extra 2K? Were you told that when you went on the interview, or did a letter come sometime later?

I heard this from another parent…

Most of the kids who are invited to interview have already been offered a substantial scholarship before the invitation goes out, such as the Dean’s (14k) or the Provost/VP (16k). Those that got invited had another 2k added to their total. My kid was not invited to interview, but the daughter of a friend of mine was invited last year. She got 2k added to her Dean’s scholarship.

My son got the VP scholarship + the Jesuit HS award. He was passed over for the presidential interview.

Does anyone know when we actually hear about the decision??

March 16th I think.
