The Presidential Scholarship seems very appealing to me. (full tuition, all those opportunities… Who wouldn’t like it?) But it sounds incredibly hard to be admitted into. I was just wondering if anyone knew the stats or the characteristics of students who were admitted? Are they super Harvard-level geniuses or kids who’ve done something significant or are just interesting? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)

I believe there are only like 15 of them, or a similarly low number, and the admissions committee only offers them to "the top of each year's applicant pool". There only 10 students in all of New England who are currently presidential scholars, so I'm thinking the top 15 students who apply to BC, an already competitive school, would be pretty qualified; I'm thinking 2250+, 4.0's, State and National awards, etc.

I could be a little off, but I think that's generally what the presidential scholars look like.

I just found this website, and it's incredibly informative.
