Okay, so I applied to 7 schools(OSU, Pitt, UMich, UChicago, MIT, UMinn, and Case Western) I've gotten into all except MIT(deferred) and UChicago(RD). Personally, I'd be okay wih going to any of then but everyone I know seems to think that I need to be somewhere super prestigious. When I was deferred by MIT, I was upset not so much that I had been deferred, but because everyone just expects me to go to somewhere that is Ivy caliber. I just feel as if I'll let everyone down. Does anyone else have this problem?

I’m in the same boat buddy. :(

Use your username as a guide. You’ve submitted your apps, there’s not much you can do at this point. Whateverhappens happens.

Who cares what everyone thinks? Be careful because “everyone” will also try to pick your major, career, spouse and other big decisions for the rest of your life. But it is your life. Just pick the school you like the best and good luck!

Prestige isn’t everything. Certain schools have better academic programs for certain subjects regardless of the name. If I were you I’d think about what interest me and do some small research on the programs each school offers relating to my interest. Also, you only recieved a deferred notice, not an outright denial so don’t beat yourself up over it. Good luck!

Agree in snarlatron wholeheartedly. You can’t let everyone keep making decisions for you; that’s like giving in to peer pressure your whole life. You can stop it down by going against the grind and choosing the school you’re truly in love with.
