<p>I'm looking for some well-known colleges with a strong art program/department. I'm interested in Film and Photography, Interior Design, Drama and Theater Arts, Philosophy, and Foreign Languages (French, Japanese)
The reason why I prefer 4-year colleges over an art college is because I'd like to meet people who interest in various subjects. I'm thinking Boston U and Drexel... but I'm not sure how strong their art departments are?</p>
<p>What a wide range of interests. Good for you! One school that comes to my head is UCLA - for film, photography, drama, theater arts, etc. Not sure how strong its philosophy and languages departments are, but they shouldn’t be bad.</p>
<p>Take a look at Cornell too. Macalester might have these things as well, but since it’s a liberal arts college, I don’t think it dabbles too much in interior design.</p>
<p>University of Illinois! They, or should I say we, have tons my majors that covers your interests.</p>
<p>Thank you both for your inputs! Do you guys know any schools that are a bit less selective but still somewhat prestigious in their art department? i’m done looking for reach school, i need some fits and safeties now!</p>
<p>NYU Tisch School of Arts, although they’re terrible about financial aid and are extremely expensive. Plus the location gives you exposure to one of the world’s best art scenes.</p>
