I’ve heard that MIT isn’t on the Common App. What other universities that are either fairly well-known, selective, or filled with high-achieving students don’t use the Common App? I’m pretty sure that their acceptance rate will drop like crazy if they adopt it, but that’s my opinion.
University of Maryland College Park
Many highly regarded public universities like the UC’s and UT do not use it either.
Probably, but they clearly don’t feel the need to switch to the Common App just to lower their acceptance rate.
Princeton has their own application.
@skieurope That was more of a passing comment. But the Common App helps to artificially inflate certain schools acceptance rates, since for some, it’s not much more than a clicked button. I’ve begun to feel disillusioned by the effort some put in recruiting students they wouldn’t accept.
No, they use the Common App or the Universal College App.
@arinuma I believe Geoegetown University doesn’t use the Common App.
@acron611 I found out early this morning! It was a shocker, to say the least.
