<p>There is obviously RSI but I was wondering what other programs are out there that are not only prestigious but also fun/a good experience to write about on college essays.
Are there any other programs that provide similar experiences as RSI or along the same lines?</p>

<p>Firstly, you want to go for medical/engineering?</p>
<p>Check out research internships at your local university/state flagship.</p>
<p>There’s also MITES, WTP, HSHSP, Garcia Summer Scholars, Clark Scholar Program, HSSSRP, and SSTP.</p>
<p>Either medical or engineering would be fine but medical would be slightly preferred. With regards to internships, I have had an internship for the last 2 summers with a chemistry researcher/professor at The Ohio State University.</p>
<p>Then SIMR would be great for you. :-)</p>
<p>The only problem with SIMR is that in order for me to attend, i would need to find living space in the area WITH a guardian, which i cant do since i live in the midwest 
. But SIMR looks pretty much perfect for what i want :D</p>
