Price per unit?

How much is the cost per credit hour at UCSD? It's not listed on College Board.

You don’t pay per credit hour, you just pay a set tuition every quarter and you can take up to (I’m pretty sure) 22 units, as many as you’d like. Most people take between 12 and 20.

I’ve taken as many as 32 in a quarter once. It’s easy to take advantage of flat-tuition education.

Summer school, however, is a different story and you do pay something around $160/unit at that point.

@Oyama… how is that humanly possible?

This past summer, if you were a undergraduate UCSD student, summer session cost $247 per unit.

@JeSuis - most were just Econ classes, which are easy to load up on. I usually took 8-12 less units when I was completing my math or bio uppers since they require actual studying.

And geeze – are you sure this was this past summer’s tuition rate? Seems harsh even after the tuition increases.

No that sounds about right, I paid around $1000 for one class.

Damn. Oyama is a beast.

Wow $1000? I remember when $600 sounded like a LOT for one class over the summer. Geeze.
