Primary/Alternate

<p>I was told that the primary school, would see the essay.</p>

<p>nubcaek - I applied early decision primary (and got accepted into) Engineering and secondary to CALS for biological engineering and used almost the same essay for both. I just changed a few words in each, and tailored the CALS essay a little more towards what the CALS question was.</p>

<p>Even so, given that Cornell is allowing students to apply to two colleges, they aren’t going to hold what you say in the second essay against you–that would defeat the purpose. You have to show strong interest in both colleges through your essay and they know that. I think that’s why the CAS admissions rep said they really wouldn’t look at it. Plus they are already looking at two essays–the common app and the supplement.</p>

<p>Okay, so does it make sense for me to apply to CAS for English major and COE for Chemical Engineering?</p>
