64 days i think? not like i’m counting or anything

^lol. It’s only eight more… Beatles’ weeks!

Hi again big dreamer! Yes, Princeton boasts of interviewing all it’s applicants no matter where they are; I believe they interviewed 99.6% or 99.8% (not sure of exact figure) of their applicants last year. Plus, that thread by PtonAlumnus says the interview reports have to be submitted latest by March. So I’m a bit relaxed about Princeton interview now. It’ll happen when it has to!
Yep. Same here haha ;)

Just felt like…

61 days, 5 hours, 19minutes and 15 seconds

^Has it started already?
Ah, I remember the many (no really, by many I mean many) Yale SCEA countdown threads.

^^ is that the day that all decisions are sent out, or the deadline for them?

@perfectpixie

Yeah… All that waiting for… a deferral

Oh btw I received my Yale deferral letter by post today. Meh…

Yale deferral letter? I am assuming you applied SCEA. Am I right? or does this have something to do with RD?

^Yes. Deferral doesn’t happen for RD applicants.

Impetuous-- that reminds me, I haven’t even received mine yet. If it takes so long to reach domestic applicants (I’m assuming you are domestic), then I wonder how long it’ll take to reach international ones? It’s funny, they did say that it should reach by the first week of January.

Big dreamer-- I wanted to let you know that I received my interview request yesterday. It’s on Sunday. :)

Oh hey! I have my interview tomorrow. I’m super excited and nervous!

Hey guys,

Super, super excited to find out results, especially seeing as I inevitably have found myself on CC each and every day reading every post about Princeton and watching videos off of their website. You all rock for being so dedicated and accomplished :D. I’ve visited the Princeton campus, and I’ve attended PMUNC, and I’d always said that I wanted to go to Princeton – but now I’m caught at another one of those college roadblocks that we’ve all encountered and I’m looking for some reasons as to why I would rather go to Princeton over Georgetown SFS. It’s hard to put to paper, but I’m trying to find a way to combine International Relations with science (Georgetown SFS has a Science, Technology, and International Affairs major)! I had my Princeton interview last week and it went fantastically, and we all know that the admissions process is truly unpredictable, but I really do appreciate all of your advice and the activity that reading your posts gives me each day :D.

Thanks and hope all is well!

^Worry when you get the results March end. You’ll have one whole month to worry should you get into P.
Welcome to this thread!
We definitely need some more activity! Why? Because we are better than Yale.
jk.

@perfectpixie

I live in Western Europe. You’ll get yours soon so don’t worry.

pretty anticlimactic though. Just that one page letter and nothing else.

Haha why thank you! I’ve been primarily lurking since well before I submitted my app, and this thread seems really cool and it’s very intriguing! Have you been to campus? Nice to meet you :D!

I have a totally random Princeton question for everyone on here haha! I am looking for a website for Princeton’s International Relations Council. I found these: [International Relations Council at Princeton University](http://www.princeton.edu/~modelun/hconference.htm) and [IRC: Home](http://irc.princeton.edu/home.php), which both haven’t been updated within the past year! Am I just missing it a primary site or a blog or anything? Thank you guys!!! Have a great day :)!

@perfect pixie: Yay!
I’m sure you will have a wonderful interview! Good luck :)

interview was AWESOME. good luck to everyone. :)

Pton does not interview everyone, only ALL qualified Apps… that would be disingenuous…good luck to all

@impetuous- I hope so! It’s been long enough.

@jeffc418- It’s nice to meet you too! Nope, I haven’t gotten the opportunity to visit campus yet, international applicant here.

@big dreamer- Haha, thank you!
It went fine i think, an hour of telephonic conversation. It was very formal and serious though (more than the rest of mine), but that doesn’t make me fret very much. Each interviewer is different and getting easy with each other on phone so soon would be slightly difficult I suppose.

@ivygeek- whatchu mean P doesn’t interview everyone? It’s a fact that they interview everyone. Am I misunderstanding something here?

Pton will not interview anyone who they do not believe will meet minimum academic standards to succeed. If someone can’t get into a good state school based on academic performance ( and test scores) but believes they should usually due to some sort of “ accomplishment” , like starting a business or NGO, or overcoming a hardship, they MAY be interviewed but if the first pass review of data of their performance shows they are likely to use resources and not succeed, they can choose not to interview.

I have counseled may families whose parents pay good money to me and insist their little one has a chance, and they have not been interviewed.

That said, some of those who I knew had no chance, who needed to hire a counselor to write their essay (something I will not do) to " get them in", have had interviews. But none I have ever talked with or knew used others, got in to any Ivy.

Anyone on CC would be realistic enough not to try if they have no chance and understand that and not bother if they did not make some minimum “low end” and I predict will get an interview, so not to worry.
