Princeton and CMC among others--new and improved ACT scores!!

Hi all,

I don't have many volunteer hours, but that is due to my devotion to wrestling--in addition to the season in which I am either practicing 2 hours every day during the week, at a dual, or at an all day tournament every day, I also attend a wrestling school in the fall and lift during the spring and summer. This summer I also volunteered for 6 weeks in Paraguay--best experience of my life!! Anyways, here are my stats. My schedule is also most rigorous, with 4 APs and 2 honors classes this year. If you need any further information, don't hesitate to ask!

bumpppppppppp

Princeton and Duke seem pretty unlikely, partially because your school doesn’t send that many students to good schools and because you don’t have that many stand out awards. A lot of other people are dedicated to wrestling year round and are also team captains, so unless you are going to wrestle in college (and Princeton is quite good) then it doesn’t help you that much. On the bright side colleges know our sport is the toughest and respect us for our hard work. I think that Princeton and Duke are both reaches for you, but I don’t really know about the rest. If you feel like it you can check out my own chances thread I made a while back, we’re somewhat similar so perhaps that will help you get a feel for where you stand.

My school is actually excellent–22 national merit semi finalists this year, i believe last year we had 5 kids go to Stanford, girl go to Yale, a couple kids going to Cornell, and another guy going to Williams, plus all the other students that I don’t know about

any more???

bump 10 char

i think it really comes down to how rigorous your course load is. Im applying there ED and I’m in the IB diploma program with 6 science credits and 11 language credits. Your test scores seem good and leadership is dec. Too bad wrestling can’t help u get in
