Who else got their emails today for the weekend of September 27th?
I am so excited!

I just did! It made me so happy (: especially cuz I had been waiting for a long time and I was beginning to think that they had rejected me without telling me.
I am really excited for it too! Hope to see you there (: Where are you from? I’m from Seattle, WA.

I just found out today but I do not know a lot about it. How did you guys find out?

I just got accepted! I’m from NJ. I was completely shocked, but thrilled Does this mean I should consider applying to Princeton?..I wasn’t planning on it because I thought I had no chance, but with this symposium acceptance…idk! haha this is crazy. Guess I’ll be seeing you all Sept. 27th!

Do you think they’re still sending out acceptances?

Possibly–mine was sent this morning. It’s possible your guidance counselor submitted your recommendation letter a bit later; mine sent it in around the 9th, I think. The invitation letter implied that if they had people who declined the offer, or didn’t sign up in a reasonable amount of time, others would be chosen.

rachelanne, I’ve heard from somewhere that this gives you a leg up in the admission process, but I’m a little doubtful… I’ve heard from past participants that the symposium was pretty awesome and changed a few minds about applying to Princeton so maybe you’ll change your mind too! Look forward to seeing y’all
also, have you received any additional info from them? (schedules, materials to read… etc.)

How do you apply for the symposium? I’ve never heard of it before but it sounds like something I’d like to do next year maybe :)

You can’t apply for it. Your counselor or school official has to nominate you to do it. :)

Where can we get information about the symposium? Our counselor probably doesn’t know about it, but we may give him some info.

They are not having it 2014 for people out of the immediate area due to a meningitis outbreak.
