Hi everyone! Has anyone received a likely letter? or has anyone received a letter/email reaching out to minority groups?
I know Cornell did this, but I’m sure if Princeton also does it.

I’ve heard that Princeton does not send likely letters to non-athletes. But, I’m not sure if that’s true.

Princeton does not send likely letters except to some (not all) recruited athletes. Some of the other Ivys do, however.
Nope- my friend got a likely letter from Princeton for academics/achievements.
When did they receive that? Mail or e-mail?
yeah when was it? i got one from Cornell today and was wondering if other Ivies are still sending theirs.
It was recently- I’m not totally sure when. And I think it was by mail. I’ll have to ask her.

The funny thing is that she actually called them back and said she didn’t want it-- she meant to rescind her application, and apparently they didn’t get the message. Believe it or not, she did it because she knew I was applying and she didn’t want to step on my toes or get in my way of getting in. She truly has a heart of gold (and likely’s from Columbia, Penn, and a phoned in acceptance from Brown 
). She’s pretty awesome.

@nolasaxman, your friend is super caring. If what you said is true then I admire her for both that and of course for getting a likely letter. That is an exceptional achievement imo, considering very few (in comparisons to other Ivies) non-athlete applicants get a likely letter from Princeton. Hat’s off to your friend.

I’ve never heard of anyone receiving a likely letter from Princeton before. I know of people getting likely letters from Yale and Columbia, though.
