We just visited ten top colleges in the Northeast with our daughter who is a high achieving product of public school education in Alabama. Her stats are excellent and she is a shoe in for Nat. Merit semi-finalist with a decent shot at finalist. PSAT 2230, SAT 2240, ACT 34,
GPA 4.25, with AP scores of 5 on 4 major areas. Other leadership and community resume items are numerous such as President of National Honor Society, Captain of Scholarbowl team, French club Pres.,Key Club Pres., Major's Youth Council, school ambassador, mentor etc. She is currently participating in The Capstone Business Leadership Academy.

She came back from our visits with stars in her eyes for Princeton, who offers non committal early action. If after visiting Emory, UNC, U of V, Duke and Georgetown, Princeton still resonates, I (her mom ) am encouraging her to test the Ivy Waters with the thought that it would just provide early, extra information in the process. We are hoping that state geographic diversity will work in her favor . Any advice or comments.
