hey cool i had a princeton info session today too. i just got home from it. the lady talked way too fast lol. she was the class of 2003

Going to AZ? Not too happy there even with the NMS and thinking about the P-Tiger. Good luck.

what u mean?

to Shrek2004:

This was in response to a comment I made about NMS's and $2K in another thread. In that thread, your reply suggested that you are already attending a school because you saved parents $2k from the NMS. Your location says AZ. My assumption is that you are on a full ride at AZ because of their policy of giving full tuition to NMS winners-regardless of state of residence. My poor assumption.

However as I posted in that thread, some schools do not accept NMS $. But most certainly they recognize the honor. Not sure about Princeton on their policy. Again, leverage your NM position towards the school of YOUR choosing. It is not the money that really counts but the value of the education that is meaningful. Congraduations of being a Semi Finalist.

oooh i forgot about that thread lol. yea we do get a full ride in AZ if we are semi-finalists. full tuition waivers and what not. no my brother gets 2k off his tuition at pton.

e1dj86 here... applying princeton ed too! can i get in the roster? heh.

wow...32...whoa...awesome...

so we know at least some of us will get in...wow, notification day (or days, more like) is going to be a little difficult b/c there are certainly going to be some rejects and deferrals...I've gotta admit, it would be hard to watch if 70% of you got in and I didn't...I would be happy for you (and I think you would be happy for me if it were vice-versa), but I would also be thinking about the incredible experiences you're going to have at Princeton. So it would be bittersweet...

Do you feel the same way about it?

Yes and more. I think the hardest thing would be accepting it. I mean, I'd have to leave the forum and everything. This is the main forum I post at. I'd feel like the new kid at a new school going to another school's forum. It's crazy to think that it's so calm right now with everyone all roses and such, but in a month-and-a-half, everything's going to be different. Hopefully it'll be different for the better. I have faith in all of you guys (less so in myself, but I think that just comes from being a self-critic), and I really feel that we'll have a bunch of acceptances from this group. I mean, come on. We rock. A lot.

Definetely. Being one of the few rejects/deferrals would hurt. Well, we'll all be here to comfort each other. :)

Yeah, philntex, we'll have to see if the acceptance rate in our group is higher than Princeton's as a whole...I bet it is...

I honestly think so, Kebree. I mean, it takes motivation to come faithfully to an online message board every day (well, or paranoia) and to try and maximize the chances of getting in.

That being said, I'm still going to stock up on Blue Bell (the ice cream of choice down here in TX) and Rocky Road in the weeks before D-Day.

haha, I better not stock up on ice cream...coffee will be my 'drug of choice' b/c I'll have to frantically start /finish a bunch of other apps...

I will be very mad @ Princeton if they decide to defer then accept me (so much more waiting) but I'll probably still go (I won't cut off my nose to spite my face).

Neither will I...not worth it; I'd definitely swallow the pride in that case.

I dream of Princeton :)

I say 10 of us will get in.
