I have seen here that a lot of students are getting emails regarding their admissions in Princeton.
I applied to Princeton around Christmas but still haven’t heard anything from them. Does that mean my application wasn’t strong enough?
P.S: I am an international student.
No. But it might mean there are no alumni in your area or that the alumni that ARE in your area haven’t had time to contact you yet. There is absolutely no correlation between the strength of your application and the opportunity to have an interview. There is no penalty to students who are not offered an interview.
Having said all that, I also would advise you to keep an eye on your spam/junk folder in case an interview request got re-routed there.
Also, give them time! I submitted mine way before the deadline so I was contacted within a week and a half. When the deadline was closer, more people submitted so it is more for them to go through.
For me, I got an e-mail from Princeton giving me my interviewer’s e-mail. Then a few days later, my interviewer contacted me and we set up a date.
Just relax–interviews are still being assigned to interviewers. We have until late Feb to complete them. If you don’t hear by Feb 1, call the admissions office. But don’t worry about it.
