Princeton Preview Freebies

So...Princeton kids, were a lot of freebies given out during Preview in previous years? The reason I'm asking is because I have several admit previews from colleges all back to back and on top of each other...so I need to know which ones I can the most free stuff (esp. t-shirts) from since I can't attend all of them. :D

Wow…wat an awesome person

What?

o_0

What a great attitude to take to college.

[end/sarcasm]

You should either visit the schools you’re most interested in attending or the schools you know the least about. The former strategy would be to make sure you know what you’re getting yourself into, and the latter would be to help you make a fair and balanced decision.

Btw, unless you’re a ■■■■■, I have a strong suspicion that you are of Eastern descent. (People, feel free to hate on me for saying this, but I’m almost certain I’m right.)

Eastern descent? huh?

The OP is probably is going only for freebies because he/she is already decided on where to attend.

right on the money, Bilguun. ;)

and of course…the perfect excuse to missing 3 days of schools, lol.

But why be so rude about it Code H?

You’re practically sneering at Princeton by treating its Preview as a goodie-bag-grabbing-session.

Maybe you truly feel that way and that’s totally legitimate (you feel what you feel, whatever), but to make a public thread declaring “I need to know which ones I can the most free stuff” is being pretty boastful and in poor taste imo.

Stop ganging up on the OP. Come on now, everyone who attends preview weekend will be hoping for freebies. It’s how people are. Asking for freebies is not degrading the school. I wouldn’t want junk from a school that I’m not proud of.

Oh come on! You don’t think it’s crass to be phrasing it like a materialistic free-for-all?

Not really. I’m attending my preview weekends with the intention of really getting to know and appreciate each of the schools for its own merits, to soak up the individual atmospheres, and to get to know my potential future classmates better.

In any case, each of the colleges have put a lot of effort and extended a generous hand in 1) admitting us at all 2) holding the preview days and ensuring they run well - and so the respectful thing to do would be to approach with humility and appreciation.

theskylitup, this is an online discussion board after all. People may ask questions they wouldn’t have asked elsewhere.

The thought of getting free crap didn’t even enter my mind as a possibility. I have to agree with theskylitup.

Sure, free stuff is awesome but the op’s question is totally tasteless. I hate people who take advantage of a school’s resources, especially a school like Princeton who has continually showed a genuine care in their students. It’s disrespectful.

…is it the bad the only reason im hosting a pre-frosh is for the free shirts?

^ lol.

but can people go off their high horses and just…umm…answer the question!!!

yea, im sure you will get some free stuff. i didnt go last year though. sorry. but just to let you know, I got my free shirt for being a host today.

Princeton owes this man panem et circenses. Let it fall upon its knees to entertain and please him.
