Hey I have about 3 blue book tests left but I'm saving those the weeks before the test. So I'm using the pr practice tests and my scores have been a bit lower...so I was wondering what u guys thought from experience is it generally easier or harder?

harder 10char

By the way, can anyone tell me how many practice tests the PR has?

“Princeton review 11 practice test”

I was also wondering do they add new tests each year or would I find the same thing in the 2004 and 2011 edition?

Has anyone got the 2013 edition? Does it still have mistakes in answer key?

PR is too lazy to correct mistakes in subsequent editions.

They might change wording around, but for the most part (99.5%) the tests are identical.

Actually, there are 10 SAT tests and 1 PSAT test.

copied and pasted from another thread which i responded to like a week ago:
im nearly done with the 11 practice tests for PR and I have to say that the tests are slightly harder. ALTHOUGH, I have found some older CB SAT tests and am noticing that PR reuses the old CR passages and even questions. In fact, if you look at the first Princeton Review test in the 11 practice tests for 2012 and look in the 8th section you’ll read a seemingly familiar passage of a guy observing two girls text messaging and pondering about tech. This passage and the question PR uses is completely derived from an CB SAT test. Also if you do the CB tests first and then do PR, you’ll notice that PR may also copy the writing MC questions just phrased a little differently. So other than the official blue book i would be inclined to say that these are your next best bet to gauge your score and improvement simply because PR uses CB questions and rephrases/edits the. For me personally, I found the PR passages that I haven’t seen before to be a bit trickier than CB’s but that is my opinion. Overall, because of the uncanny similarity to previous CB questions, PR is probably accurate. Of course, nothing truly trumps the value and accuracy of the official CB book. PR also tends to have a lot of mistakes in their answer key but when you read the answers explanations then they gave you the right answer so just make sure you read the answer key.

Also, PR aside I try to emphasize this without seeming to be like a nagging dweeb, but the issue of PR accuracy has come up multiple times on cc and one just recently as i said a week ago came up on PR accuracy. Try to search it up before posting and expecting others to respond to an all ready thoroughly discussed issue. I apologize if I sound a bit scathing but I think I speak for other users as well. Just for future reference I advise using the search feature. If you believe that PR 2012 may be completely different than previous years and that is why you posted this, then let me say if you search and analyze previous years of PR discussions it shows PR remains fairly constant in its accuracy and will unlikely change. As kyrix1 and others above me have said, PR is essentially the same. Most people won’t give thorough advice because they believe you can just use the search feature. Just my opinion, obviously entitled to do whatever. Not trying to sound too nagging or critical; this is just a feeling held by many cc users. Apologize if I came out as harsh. Good Luck in your studies!
