Princeton review practice vs Collegeboard

Whenever I practice from Princeton review, I tend to make more mistakes in the critical reading sections than i normally do in the Collegeboard Official book. Im taking the SAT this saturday (Jan. 23) for the first time, and i just want to brush up and do some review, but seeing the number of mistakes im making in the PR book is make me feel quite disheartened. Last saturday i took a practice test in the collegeboard book, and i managed to miss a total of 7 mistakes in the the critical reading section. Though it's not a superb number, it's definitely an improvement from my previous practice. But after just doing some practice in Princeton Review, im not so sure about my level now.

From anyone's experience/perspective, how is the actual SAT compared to the practice books of Princeton and Collegeboard? Are there more similarities to one book than the other?

Thanks.

I have the exact same feeling. I bought the Official SAT Online Course, completed every CR section of the 10 practice tests, and ended up with an average score of 680-700 for CR. I then tried the PR practice tests, but I found myself spending too much time on the readings, which I consider harder and longer than those in the tests I took before. I also ended up with an average score of 600-650.

I am also retaking the SAT this month. I took it in November too, but just can’t recall which test resembles best.
