How are we only #5 in happiest students? I don't understand! #2 for both Overall Academic Experience for Undergraduates and Quality of Life isn't half bad though... those are probably the two that make the biggest difference in the day-to-day college experience.

/me shrugs

I think Stanford's pretty awesome, so screw rankings =]

PR rankings are students rating their own school.

I don't think they really should be taken seriously.

Marlgirl, what are you taking fall quarter?

I was going to take this quarter easy, but that might not be happening.

Physics 105 (Electronics lab)
Math 131 (PDEs 1)
PWR (if they accept my petition)
CS 103A
And then anywhere from 1-3 of the following
Physics 59
Social Dance
Some PE class

Hahaha I'm sure we're going to get over being ranked only fifth for happiest students. I mean I doubt Stanford students became less happy this year :D

Wow marlgirl, that sounds heavy. Good luck with all that.

All of those classes would only be a total of 16 units. How hard is CS 103A? And PWR? I really want to play around with AI at some point, so I need to take 103 A and B eventually and I need to take PWR to graduate sadly. I figure that if PWR works out then I can always drop CS 103A and if it doesn't work out then that will give me exactly 12 units.

I'm guessing you're going into PWR2. I took an introsem for PWR2 which wasn't hard. My friends who took regular PWR2 said it was a lot of work with the multiple papers and presentations. Sorry I can't be more specific. And I know nothing about CS. Good luck!

Your schedule seems quite busy, units aside.

PDE's! Ugh.

I need PDEs for physics. I'm hoping that this will at least be less bad than winter quarter last year with PWR, math, 60 series physics and IHUM... I love how most of my classes are only 3 units yet a hell of a lot more work and are a lot harder than many 5 unit classes.

Princeton ranked itself #1 in one of the general academics things. Not that Princeton is a bad school, but....

The Princeton Review has no affiliation with Princeton University.

haha...oh Daniel

Oh. Roight.

I do wonder what their basis for 'happiness' is. I haven't looked at the rankings, but were the other fluctuations analogous to Stanford's shift (from first to fifth)?

Alternate explanation: treeless football season makes Johnny Stanford a dull boy.
