Princeton review: Students Dissatisfied with Financial Aid: 7

Yeah, because it makes more sense for those unhappy with their financial aid to respond than those happy with their financial aid who are complacent.

So a gang of disgruntled middle class students decides to band together and spam a poll to tarnish the reputation of their school and bring national attention to their financial plight? This sounds absolutely epic!

By the way, interesteddad, The Princeton Review only ranks "The Best 368 Colleges," so technically Amherst is ranked 361/368. Damn.

Well, at least we run like butter!

That's absurd, too.

What makes these students "disgruntled?" Just because they aren't pleased with their financial aid and chose to speak up in this poll? That's not "disgruntled," it's honest. Maybe Amherst really is not particularly helpful to middle class students who need financial aid. And, if that is the case, why shouldn't it be made known to other middle class students who are thinking of applying?

It should; it's just not a very accurate measure because what are these students comparing Amherst with?

Stony Brook got on that list once, and the SUNY's are the least expensive for OOS students. Again, what is being compared?

I don't like USNWR, but it does have accurate data about financial aid.

Amherst's top five cross-admits, naturally: Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Brown, Williams.

Well, at least we're #1 this year according to the USNWR. Though, that probably means as much as this here ranking by the PR.
